Bee Tamagotchi
An artist I’ve been following on Bluesky (@berrycutepixels.com) has this amazing series of fan-made, pixel art concepts for Tamagotchi and the designs are so appealing I couldn’t resist modeling one (with her permission, of course!). With this model I also wanted to attempt adding in some flipbook animation to the screen to show the little bee in motion, to further mimic a real Tamagotchi. The final model uses two materials - a standard PBR material for the body of the egg, and a separate material for the screen that LERPs together the background and the pixel art bee. Lit, rendered, and displayed in Unreal 5.
